Customers and the general public in Forcht Bank’s twelve community markets responded to the bank’s “Warm Hands, Warm Hearts” glove drive by generously donating 9,863 pairs of new gloves for children in need.

The glove drive ran from November 16th through December 31st, 2013. Glove donation centers were set up in each of Forcht Bank’s 30 banking center locations across central and southern Kentucky. In addition to actual gloves, customers and the general public donated $1,990 in cash for the purchase of more new gloves. Forcht Bank also donated $5,000 to purchase additional gloves and coats.

“We are truly thankful and humbled by the generosity of the citizens in our markets,” said Forcht Bank President Tucker Ballinger. “We are proud to be able to serve these outstanding communities and to help local kids stay warm during these cold winter months.”

The new gloves will be distributed beginning January 6th at the following Donation Centers/School Resource Centers: Jesse D.
